Parking Information Letter

Dear Customer,

From Monday 5th February 2018, Better, Gosling Sports Park will continue to provide free parking for customers, but only for up to three hours.

Parking for more than three hours will be chargeable.


0 to 3 hours Free
3 to 4 hours £2
4 to 6 hours £4
6 to 24 hours £6

(Free parking is available for Blue badge holders)

The new system is an automatic number plate recognition system.

The parking meters will only accept cashless payments via debit and credit cards, or via contactless cards. There will not be an option to pay with cash.

Please be aware that failure to pay the due parking fee, or failure to register your vehicle, will result in a £100 charge notice being issued to you. This will be discounted to £60 if paid within 14 days.

Some Cyclo-Cross Results from the Weekend

Fifteen young Welwyn Wheelers competed in the Muddy Monsters race in St Albans run by the Verulam CC on Saturday on a cold winter day– the MM series has a few weeks to go and the final event for this season will be at Gosling Sports park on Saturday March 4th
Tom Pruett, William Pollard and Tommy Liddiard took the top three places in the under 12 boys race and Elice Whittaker was second in the U12 girls race.

Megan Hughes was first under 10 girl and Jacob Lewin 2nd boy. Daniel Elliott fist under 8 boy and Rachel Halden 2nd girl.

Also on Saturday Oli Stockwell and Joe Kiely were invited to the British Cycling Annual Awards Presentation. Oli won the Charlie Craig Memorial Trophy as the winner of the National Cyclo-cross youth series and Joe was the under 14 circuit race champion.
