Good Friday (18 April) sees the next important club race promotion, which is the Open Hilly 50km time trial run on the Codicote-Hitchin-Kimpton circuit, under CTT regulations.
We would like to see as many club members competing as possible. Age limit is 12yrs & over, and there are separate categories for road bikes and time-trial (low-pro, disc wheels) bikes, and Women and Open. Anyone planning to race, who is not familiar with the course, is advised to familiarise themselves with the route (by riding round it!). There will be informal club rides using these roads over the next few weeks, and if anyone wants to come along, ask the coaches.

We also need about 20 marshals to assist on the day, at junctions on the course. This job is not at all difficult, but is a requirement from the CTT, so we’ll be looking for volunteers – if your partner/child/etc is going to there on the day please come forward, as marshals get the best view of the event.
