The Welwyn Wheelers Hilly 50 TT is a classic annual time trial, traditionally held on Good Friday for many years. This prestigious test against the clock features a 50km course, raced on quiet, undulating roads through scenic North Hertfordshire.

This year’s event will be on Friday April 7th with first riders setting off at 8am from the starting point just outside Codicote village, with tandems starting first.

Entry is only available in advance, through the Cycling Time Trials website at this link. Entries close at midnight on March 28th 2023

A decent cash prize list has been prepared for the first 6 senior men and women, with additional prizes for 1st vet and junior. The 1st place male and female riders will each receive the handmade WW Hilly TT trophy to display for the next year. There are also prizes for the fastest times on a road bike.

The Race HQ will again be at Spoke Cycles café and workshop which will be well equipped for recovery eating, drinking and socializing.
