The 2025 edition of the club's challenging and prestigious 'Hilly 50' time trial (32 miles / 50 km) will be held on Good Friday April 18th. Course details and entry can be found at https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/events/31637-welwyn-wheelers-hilly - advance entry closes on April 8th. The historic Welwyn Track League is back for 2025! From April 25th, Track League meetings are held on Fridays throughout the spring and summer at the Gosling Sports Park velodrome. To register and enter visit our website. British Cycling has updated the gear restrictions for youth riders for the 2025 season. These regulations are detailed in the 2025 British Cycling Handbook at https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/about/article/bcst_rulebook_and_constitution All members are invited to attend the club AGM on 24 Feb, in the party meeting room at Gosling Sports Centre (adjacent to the Trampolining Centre, in the CafeBar building) Meet at 7pm, with the AGM starting at 7:30pm. Sessions delivered by British Cycling track qualified coaches. This year we will again be holding introductory Track Taster sessions and three series of progressive Track Novice sessions, for those seeking accreditation and advancement to racing. The Taster and progressive Track Novice sessions are open to novices of all ages - Youth, Junior & Senior, male & female.... Setting up at sunrise.
