Joe Kiely went two places better than he did at Crawley to claim a sensational victory in the penultimate round of the National Trophy Series at Pembrey on Sunday. Joe made his move on lap 4 (of 6) with a decisive attack as the leaders approached the long sand climb, opening a gap which increased to 25 seconds by the time he took the bell. Joe calmly rode the final lap to finish 15 seconds ahead of Alec Gregory.

In the next race, Ellen Bennett claimed 7th out of the juniors racing in the Female Elite category.

On Saturday Lucy Allsop and Ellen Phillips finished 12th and 18th respectively in the girls U14 race. In the next race Euan Woodliffe claimed 6th spot after what was described by spectators as a really good tussle between the 5 riders who were just behind the podium places. Euan unluckily dropped his chain coming into the finishing sprint to narrowly miss 5th place.
