From Sunday September 18th 2022 the standard prices for Welwyn Wheelers training sessions at Gosling Velodrome will increase to £10 for adults and £8 for youth riders. This price change has become necessary to reflect the operational costs incurred by the club, including venue hire, maintenance, equipment and other expenses.
Welwyn Wheelers members are entitled to a 20% discount by using the discount code published on the member’s Facebook group (see Join or Club).
The club’s training sessions, coaching and administration are run on an entirely voluntary basis.
Thanks to the generous efforts of volunteers the club has been able to secure grants to support much needed upgrades to the track facilities, however we still rely on donations to allow these upgrades to happen. Our latest appeal for donations is for an urgent upgrade to the floodlights, costing £85,000 – see Please Help – Track Lighting Replacement. We are grateful for the contributions made to this appeal by other clubs, members, friends and users of the track.
To help us reach the target, an optional voluntary £1 donation will be added to sessions booked through the website until the fundraising goal has been reached.
